The "Pop Up" Bottle Cap Remover was created by Giovanni Alessi Anghini who was the late grandson of Alessi founder Giovanni Alessi. Giovanni Alessi Anghini started out as a designer in Stefano Giovannoni's studio in Milan and recently showed Alessi his design of his bottle opener featuring a pressure opening mechanism. Enthralled with his ingenious idea, Alessi was happy to develop and put the bottle opener into production.
