I think I could hold a dance party on this table top with 10 of my heaviest friends. It is so sturdy -- it's the kind of table you'd want to hide under during an earthquake. The table's style is so versatile, you could use it with almost any modern chairs. I bought this set with the Avalon chairs and I love them. They're contemporary but they're quite comfortable. It's a perfect set for relaxing at the table for hours.
