The furniture is VERY NICE and Sturdy. High quality wood, NO PRESSWOOD OR VINEERS. My wife and I love this furniture. Although I do have 2 complaints, the discription of the Captains Bed on ALL WEBSITES and the holes that were drilled for assembly of bed. First the bed comes with an under drawer unit. It ALSO takes an ADDITIONAL drawer unit that is NOT stated anywere. We only found this out because we accidently ordered just the drawer unit thinking it was the bed. We then contacted [...] (Where we orded it) and was told they sell both. To double check we called [...]and was told it only had ONE Drawer Unit. [...] assured us it accepts 2 so we ordered the bed, and yes, it does take two. This is my MAJOR COMPLAINT. There needs to be a better discription of this bed. If you do not order the extra drawer unit [$] there will be nothing under the other half of the bed. Not a big deal if you put it against the wall, but looks nicer if both sides are accessable. Second, on the bed rails the holes were not drilled correctly so I had to ream out the holes for the bolts to hit the nut threads. Not a huge deal but when you pay [$]for a bedroom set you shouldn't have to modify anything. Also, make sure you do NOT get a pollowtop mattress. Mattress depth should be no more than 8in thick or it may be above the head and foot rails. Drawers for bed, chest and desk are very well made with dovetale joints and easy slide rails. In all we are very pleased with the funiture and very much recommend this product. I would urge sites to do a better job of discribing this product.

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was quick with the first part of the order. Even though it was curb side drop off, UPS driver put it in our garage, thanks UPS! Secound part (BED) took 2 1/2 weeks just to ship do to backorder, even though the side said it was in stock. Once again UPS dropped it off at the garage. UPS FRAIGT ROCKS!

We looked all around at the retail furniture stores and got tired of particle board covered with plastic or [$]sort of nice beds, but even if money was no object, the local choices were lame. Along comes an internet search and we find [...] Wow, what great furniture they churn out. All solid ash - not a single piece of particle board or plastic veneer! This stuff is near heirloom quality. I am a wood worker and appreciate solid wood furniture, because that is the way I would build it myself. Man, the desk top is 1 and 1/4 inch solid/thick, nice grains. My only complaint is the finish, which does not come close to what I would have done using polyurathane, but that may come in later years. Overall, we are very satisfied.
