The Nevis collection is crafted from Tropical Mahogany solids and Mindi veneers. It features solid wood drawer boxes with English dovetail, a rich Espresso finish and brushed chrome accents. Frames are constructed from solid wood and corner blocked to ensure rigidity.

MFI carefully selects all the material used in each product, ensuring consistency, quality and a premium finish. A comprehensive Quality Assurance program is in place at the factory whose primary objective is to make certain that their products meet all the high standards set for their furniture.
Their beds are constructed of 100% kiln dried hardwood. This ensures strength and longevity. The tropical hardwoods used in the beds are indigenous to Indonesia. Tropical mahogany has a tight grain and is similar to American Cherry, varying in reds and browns in its natural state and is used in the majority of their products. As with everything ordering something on the internet poses it’s challenges...ordering furniture that you have never actually seen up close and personal; well that’s in a realm of it’s own. I shopped for about a good month online looking for a dresser/chest and night stand that I would like. The Chest was the challenge (MIL wanted a TALL chest). My Fiance's old bedroom needed a makeover. I had to convince his 65 year old mom to trust my judgement and order this furniture for him sight unseen. That being said, I will never forget the day the furniture came. I was not there, but his mom made sure to call me. She was SO wowed and overjoyed she couldn’t believe it. Not only is this beautiful, with it’s clean lines and elegant pulls, but it’s sturdy and well made. [...] We are moving and his mom is going to keep this set. I’m so happy with it, we are re-ordering the 3 pieces, for our new place! Hope this helps!

This well, made chest of drawers is taller than many and the drawers are large and roomy. This was ideal for use in my teenage daughter's newly re-done bedroom, which is rather small. The modern design and beautiful wood are attractive, with the wood showing a beautiful reddish patina when the light hits it. The design is simple, but modern. Good piece of furniture for the money.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery took one month, so allow time. The wood was in great condition, with only some sticky stuff on the metal drawer pulls that has to be removed. The driver and helper were very nice and professional.

I'm still amazed with the quality of the Modus Five Drawer Chest; ordered 4 pieces for my bedroom, all of the Nevis Espresso line. The finish is clean, the construction is rock solid, and it looks amazing. Even the packing was done with care; delivered fully assembled to my apartment in Manhattan without a scratch! that�s almost impossible... Recommend this piece to anyone looking for good design, quality craftsmanship and long lasting durability.
