When I first bought it, I loved this table. I love the way it looked but the top of the table scratches so easily it is just awful. I have kept it covered, used place mats and it still looks terrible. I keep it coved now all the time and can't even see the table because I am afraid it will scratch more. I don't even want to sit at the table which is a shame for the price I paid. It is not worth the money. I am surprised Paula would endorse this product.

I absolutely loved this table in the furniture showroom. It was perfect for my kitchen but I totally disappointed with the wood finish. I was told this "matte" finish is how the table is supposed to look. It shows every single fingerprint, every mark. It is very hard to clean because they say not to use polish. It looks like lots of little grease spots all over. I have taken extra special care of this table and there are not many (if any at all) scratches but lots of little grease-like spots. I finally had a furniture repairman come out and buff the table - it now has a glossy finish and looks 100% better. He says I should put a glass table top to protect it so it doesn't mar and that will cost another $350. I am disappointed and can hardly believe that Paula Deen would endorse this table - the look is wonderful but the finish is absolutely not.

set is in the dining room. perfect size - bought 2 extra chairs. chairs are large so probably could not put an extra 2 chairs. wood on chairs not the same wood as table - a little lighter and rougher. overall am happy with purchase.

I bought this table for an informal arrangement in my breakfast nook. The table is versatile enough to go from casual dining to formal, traditional dining. Easily seats six when round, and can seat 8-10 when the leaf is added. The pedestal is simply beautiful. It does mar easily, so if you worry about every fingerprint or water stain, this may not be the table for you. Does clean easily with a good wood polish. Highly recommended and a great value.

Product Review

I use this Table for everyday gatherings. It looks great, is sturdy and it has a leaf for more seating. I haven't had it for very long so I haven't noticed if it leaves water marks, warping or anything else in that matter. It does scratch easily, so I do recommend always using placemats or table cloth.
