I purchased this table from another site [@]which no longer sells furniture but wanted to alert others to the products shortcomings. It is a stunning set and the price is very reasonable, however the finish on the tabletop is extremely easy to scratch and dent. Our first tabletop was replaced by the manufacture due to defects in shipping. The second one has since had to be repair due to someone writing on a piece of paper on top of it and leaving the wording scratched into our surface as if written with a white pen on the table. Horrifying! A furniture restorer has repaired the finish damage and we have had to purchase glass to protect the tabletop. I love the look but after $200 to repair damage and $250 for glasss...not quite the bargain I thought I was getting.

The set is more beautiful in person than in pictures. The fabric on the seats is not as white as it appears online, its more ivory with a bit of gray. [...] Good construction, very solid, beautiful wood work. This is a set that I will cherish for many, many years.

We love this style and it's hard to find a nice pedastal table with chairs that have upholstered backs AND seats. Very comfy to sit in. The wood is beautiful. No complaints except the table top does seems to scratch somewhat easily. Get a touch up pen or wax for repairs. Our table arrived with some scratches in it, but we were compensated with $150 refund for our trouble. The set is beautiful and impresses family and friends each time they see it. I just don't like admitting it's Kathy Ireland.

The furniture is good quality and meets the needs, however 2 chairs had stains on the fabric out of the box.
