“Hello, I can't figure out how to open it up to seat four. From the console, I flip the hinged part back, but there's no support underneath it. Can you help?” asked by Annie

"Hi Annie, this table is difficult to open the first time. They recommend having one person on each end put their palm down on the top and use the drawer pulls to extend the table on each end ( so that it is fully extended), and use paste wac or oil (wood-safe) to lubricate channel. This will alleviate the problem."

The legs and main part of the table are all solid wood. This should last a lifetime the way it is built. I also bought four Stackmore folding chairs which i love to. It doesn't take almost any space when in compact form but easily extends to fit 6 or even 8 people. Fairly easy to expand. The only negative thing is that two additional parts (those that allow to fully extend the table) have to be kept separately in a closet.
