Love the dark look and how big the table is. Fits all chairs comfortably. The only down side is that it scratches really easy so u would definently need a nice table cloth and pad. Also a few screws have fallen out of the chair because they arent the perfect size. A few chairs also seem to b a lil wobbly but we fixed that issue ourselves with pads.

not a fancy dining table (didn't want one) but its adequate for most settings. the finish is kinda flat so its perfect for my needs and style. when assembling do not over tighten the screws on lower legs section or they will strip not a big deal just get thicker ones if it happens. Highly recommend putting a couple of coatings of satin polyurethane (from a can is OK) on the top for those who are scared it will peel or scratch in the future, makes it look allot better. other than that a reasonably priced simple set. I got four separate matching chairs for kitchen island and they look great.

The set is nice. The table was easy to put together the chairs not so much. One chair the holes were drilled wrong[...]. Then noticed the brackets in between are too short, long story short I still have one chair not assembeled and its been almost a month and still no parts[...].

This was a GREAT purchase! From start to end, this purchase went smoothly. [...] I put this furniture together myself, which I thought I might need help but didn't. The finish is a Smooth, Black Maple, very pretty! It is very sturdy, & comfortable without chair pads even. I would recommend this set to anyone with a large family or guests over frequently. It is large, but beautiful & fits everyone in our family.

This table looks great and the chairs are very sturdy. The only thing I don't like about it is it leaves water stains, scratches easy and shows dust, every smudge and fingerprint due to it's black semi-gloss surface. Overall though, I am very pleased with it.

Purchased for casual entertaining and kitchen dining. Love the standard counter height that flows with rest of kitchen. Enjoy its large surface area and ability to seat 8 comfortably. Was disappointed in the finish quality in the sense that a few manufacturer touch ups were poorly handled with the slap of a paint brush and clearly stand out from the original finish. Not worth the hassle of a send back though. I plan to add a custom glass top to protect the surface of the table which is EASILY scratched. Definitely not high quality, but you do get what you pay for.

Do not buy this table the finish warps.Can't even use it for a table if I can't put a hot plate on it even on a placemat because that stuck right to the table.[...]

This is the worst table i have ever bought.I just bought my first house.I wanted a nice black table o go with my black appliances and didn't want to do the normal walnut finish so I went black.Sad to say it took more then over month to know that heat sticks to this table and finish even when I put place mats on it.The heat went right through and stuck to the table.Diningroomsdirect. would not refund or give me another table.Everything little thing sctratched it even when i was being extra careful.Do not buy this table,you have been warned and read the return policy before you buy [...]
